The Magi - The Savior, Venus

Here we are at last. I apologize for the wait and yes, I am still having trouble with The Magi of the Air. Trying to find a name that rolls off the tongue yet still does justice to the individual...is a lot harder than I thought. Not to mention finding an appropriate secondary title for the First Mage. I finally found one...ironically the inspiration was from one of those Choose which pill for a specific ability or power.

So everyone give thanks to my beloved younger sister and my truest believer, Anna! She sent me the media message in a vain attempt to stop rereading our text thread and the countless scenes and full blown chapters we have typed up in the last few months. Without further delay, I present the First Mage.

First Mage of the Blood Guard, Commander of the Medical Corps, the Magi of Light, Scheherazade. Venus of the Prism Guard and she is her daughter.

Go ahead and squeal, Oncers! I will freely admit that many of The Prism have originated from Once Upon A Time but can you blame me? There was a lot of good actors and actresses in the series and their portrayals of specific characters inspired quite a few aspects of the Blood Guard. To be fair, most of the original backgrounds of these characters got chucked out a window so don't be surprised if things do line up with the originals because my versions are their own unique stories that is vaguely based on the originals.

Now then...Venus. This name was inspired from a silly song from Blue's Clues, a kids show I used to watch before they changed the main guy. Anyways, the song was a way for kids to learn the order and names of the planets in our solar system.

The sun's a hot star and Mercury is hot too.
Venus is the brightest planet, Earth is home to me and you.
Mars is the red one and Jupiter's most wide.
Saturn has those icy rings and Uranus spins on it side.
Neptune is most windy and Pluto is very small.
We wanted to name the planets and now we've named them all.

Honestly, this was the only for me to remember the planets at all and yes, I know Pluto has been stripped of its planetary status. The point is that the name of the First Mage was inspired by the line: Venus is the brightest planet. Seeing as how the Star Child was her mother, this name suited her quite well.

Now on to the reason for the name Scheherazade. This name came about due to a certain period of time and my obsession at the time, Magi. Scheherazade was the name of the Magi of a certain empire within the series...and she was blonde. The certain period of time was the Greek and Roman eras...why?

Venus is the Roman rip off of the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. It was during this era of history that the Magi of Light went by the name of Scheherazade because people kept mistaking her as the Goddess of Love. It didn't help that she was physically attractive, has a mysterious yet almost ethereal aura, and that she bore a strikingly remarkable resemblance to how people depicted the Goddess of Love.

Later on down the line, it becomes a bit of a running joke amongst the Prism because she always becomes either annoyed, flustered, or flat out embarrassed whenever that name or that time period is brought up. She did shorten the name so she could use it as an alias, Sherrie. Still didn't stop most of the Prism from commenting on it, usually eliciting a long suffering groan from the blonde haired woman.

As for the whole daughter thing, she is in fact Artz's biological daughter, but no one knows the details of her conception or birth, given the fact that the Star Child was unable to have children due to certain issues which apparently gets resolved at a later date and no, I am not spoiling that bit...yet. I will say that the name given to her by her mother is Emma Swan Lanaria. Yes, I know but i really liked her name and Artz mistook her for the Savior from Once Upon A Time when she first met the woman.

Now then...you are all probably wondering who the father is, right? I should say Spoilers but I'm not going to be that cruel because with his reveal, things get pretty interesting. Now Emma is a kind hearted badass that loves being all mysterious. Why is she this way? Her father stated quite clearly...Never bore your audience. Anyone who has watched Sanctuary in its entirety are already screaming or jaw dropping. Say hello to Emma's father.

Yep...I went there. The Father of Electricity and the Inventor of Radio Waves...the absolutely scrumptious, Nikola Tesla aka King of The Five. Now Sanctuary's version of him is shall we say a bit more pretentious, even cavalier, definitely arrogant, obnoxious and is one of the most beloved characters of the entire series. The kind of guy you love to hate and hate to love.

As for King, he only acts like a glorified ingenious badass because it makes the Star Child practically go into fan girl mode or hot under the collar. Young Artz cannot comprehend how he is in any way attracted to her, commonly stating that he would never look at her twice. The usual response to this statement is that you can't look at someone twice if you never looked away the first time.

So both parents are revealed, the impossible redhead and the brunet genius vampire. So...did anyone notice anything? Specifically, two very interesting details. The first is that Emma Swan Lanaria...is part vampire. The second...well let's do a comparison. Keep in mind that I have not found an image that adequately depicts Artz so this is just for a quick comparison and not the actual thing.

Okay...this image is standing in for Artz. Now let's put up a picture of our favorite genius vampire.

So we have a picture of Artz and a picture of Nikola, the parents of Emma. Now let's put up an image of the Magi of Light.

Now then...for the comparison. Artz is a definitive red head, commonly referred to as crimson, a rather brilliant crimson at that. Nikola's hair is clearly dark, either brown or black depending on the lighting. Now look at Emma...blonde. Why is Emma blonde? Some of you would undoubtedly bring up the fact that Anna Zimmerman in Stardust states that Artz has dark blonde hair, but it has no bearing on this little conundrum.

It's a question to think about and is very important to The Star Chronicles. Take into account that no one has witnessed her birth nor has anyone seen any signs that the Star Child was, at any point, pregnant. Then take into account that Emma Swan Lanaria is Artz's and Nikola's legitimate child and this fact is proven by a simple blood test. And that is where I am leaving that...have fun with that mystery.

Moving right along, I am not entirely certain when Emma makes her first appearance in the past, but she has already been mentioned in Stardust as Sherrie, the nurse that was commonly looking after the Zimmerman siblings. She has connections to two brothers; one is a doctor and the other is a lawyer. As of now, she is married to the first but has been married to the second in the past. Who are these two brothers?

Okay all you Supernatural fans, start screaming because both Sam and Dean Winchester are indeed members of the Blood Guard. In fact, they are actually members of the Prism. Dean is the doctor that is married to Emma while the Zimmerman siblings were pretty much oblivious to the Blood Guard...didn't stop Anna from calling him Winchester. He went by the name Dean Chesterton which any Whovian that has watched Classic Doctor Who will automatically get the reference to Ian Chesterton, a science teacher that had become one of the First Doctor's companions.

For about two years, Dean had not spoken to his younger brother...presumably this falling out had something to do with Sherrie, but his time spent with the Zimmerman siblings reminded him a lot of how he and his brother used to be. Due to their influence, Dean and Sam reconciled the majority of their issues but still squabbles like cats and dogs which commonly resulted in Sherrie putting the fear of God into them.

Much of Emma's past is a mystery and no one is entirely sure of the scope of her powers either. She is most well known for de-aging herself from using too much of her power at one go, commonly a result of her trying to save her mother. She also de-ages herself frequently for the simple reason of growing up again.

Why because during the course of history, her mother is unable to conceive a child which is why she ended up founding the Blood Guard...to essentially create the family that she could never have, always bringing home strays or flat out adopting just about everyone. Emma reverses her aging, oftentimes to infancy, just so that her mother can have the joy and wonder of raising her daughter, to know that she was indeed an amazing mother and that Emma loved her very much.

For the First Mage, her mother meant everything to her but there was a time that she had to pretty much hand her over to the very people that they had been trying to protect her from. Why because is she didn't, then the whole of history would change and she would never be born. To save the entirety of the Blood Guard and protect The Realm's very existence, Emma had to allow both herself and her mother experience terrible things...some with lasting and irrevocable consequences.

Why did they have to let this happen? Why did it have to be this way? Was there no way around it? Some other means in which to accomplish what needed to be done? Why did such pain and grief have to occur? Simple...to save a life. No parent should ever have to outlive their child nor should they be forced to watch their child sacrifice themselves in order to protect everyone. Emma and Artz suffered fates far worse than mere death and all for the sake of saving two children.

The grandchild of Jester of The Five, the Impossible Girl, Clara Griffin.

The daughter of Epsilon of The Five and Black British of The Blades, Ashley Magnus.

After the events had passed and their enemy had been neutralized, both Ashley and Clara left the Sanctuary and went to The Realm. Neither were able to accept what had occurred, the emotional impact was too great for them to endure on their own. Ashley sought help from her father, even becoming his apprentice blade.

Clara started out with her grandfather, but soon drifted from place to place. She was unable to forgive herself for what happened. She believed that she had utterly destroyed the two people she loved most in the whole of creation and that she did not deserve to live. She vanished from The Realm but the Guard knew she was still alive because her name had not appeared on the Memorial Stone...more like an obelisk.

The Impossible Girl returned when the events of Sanctuary had concluded, Ashley aka Violetta, the Knight, also returned around this same period of time. Both had become privy to very specific information which had utterly flabbergasted everyone else and that information is going to remain hush hush for now. Don't want to spoil everything.

As for Emma, well...I haven't worked out anything beyond her trip through history and her brief involvement during the Sanctuary timeline, but not to worry, desires. She'll get more screen time because there is no way that I can go through the rest of the Sanctuary series without her popping up...probably whilst in the company of her father...and sweet Menti Celesti, I just had an idea. *disappears*

The Time Keepers - The Goddess, Gemini

This is the final member of The Time Keepers, but she is actually two people and thus the reason she is referred to as Gemini. The first is the original owner of the body, Winifred Berkle, more commonly known as Fred. The second is the soul of an ancient goddess known as Illyria. Both Fred and Illyria are characters from the TV series called Angel, a spin off from Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. The irony is that the spin off was better than the original in my opinion. Now for the introduction.

Third Oracle of the Time Keepers, the Fate of the Present, the Goddess of Time. Gemini of the Prism Guard and she is her Watcher.

Yep, she is pretty badass in the show and unintentionally funny sometimes. Originally I had named her Illyria but decided to change it to Gemini due to the original owner of the body whose soul was reformed by Her Ladyship. As of now, Illyria's counterpart doesn't have a set introduction, but does have dealings with the Librarians, the Science and Medical Corps, and most of the educational divisions like The Academy.

The second soul contained within, Winifred Berkle.

The majority of their shared story is within the tv series called Angel, but deviates near the end when Wesley was fatally injured. Illyria, at this time, had grown to care for Wesley and these feelings combined with remnants of Fred's love for him drove the ancient one to do something drastic.

She used her limited power over time, since the majority of that power was siphoned off to save her life, to open a rift in space/time. In doing so, she destroyed herself but was able to get Wesley into The Realm via the mysterious Schism. The Star Child used her power to save Wesley's life and as a show of gratitude, he willingly joined her Guard.

He was the head of the Research Division but primarily took over the responsibility of the Hall of Memories. Not long after seeing the entirety of Artz's life, Wesley began to have dreams, two voices constantly calling out to him but every time he had this dream, the voices were getting quieter. He sought out the Star Child because he honestly didn't know what to make of this odd phenomenon.

Artz used her power to both sense and see his connections to others and discovered the identities of the two people calling out to him, Fred and Illyria. The Star Child wasted no time and immediately took off for the Schism. It was difficult to traverse even a fraction inside thr Schism, but she was able to locate the remnants of the two women. It took a great deal of strength and effort to reform their souls while within the Schism, ensuring that not a single trace of their souls were missing.

Once free of the Schism, Her Ladyship was able to reconstitute their physical form but she had been too weak at the time so they both ended up within the same body. Both Illyria and Fred agreed that this debt had to be repaid so they joined the Blood Guard. In doing so, Illyria's temporal powers heightened to the point where she could see the entirety of the Present all at once, but did not cause any harm to her human host.

Illyria agreed to become the Third Oracle of the Time Keepers but was predominantly dormant by her own choice. This was due to the discovery of Wesley and his miraculous recovery. The ancient one hid within in Fred for sometime, not wanting to come in between him and her host. She did not wish to destroy his happiness again...but he surprised her.

Wesley had been consistently questioning both Fred and the Star Child about Illyria. He wanted to know what happened her, he was extremely worried about her given that the last time he had seen her was when he was dying in her arms. He admitted to them that he genuinely cared for the ancient one, despite their rather volatile history.

He hadn't meant to and it was in his final moments in the other world that he realized that he had fallen in love with Illyria. His love for Fred was still as intense as ever, but it did not change how he felt for the ancient one. He begged Her Ladyship to find any information about Illyria's whereabouts or at least what became of her.

The Star Child had simply pointed behind him and said 'Why don't you ask herself?' The former watcher whirled around to see that Fred was now in the form of the temporal goddess and Artz told him that she had saved both, but didn't have enough strength to give them separate bodies.

To be honest, he had kind of stopped listening to the redhead, all of his attention focused on the woman that he had once called a Smurf. It took a moment for them to actually converse...and he actually yelled at her, saying he had been worrying out of his mind about her and asking why she didn't reveal herself to him sooner.

Illyria simply stated that she had destroyed him once by killing Fred and taking over her body. She did not wish to impede his relationship with her host. His response to this was to kiss her and that's when she felt it...an ancient bond from long ago, the bond she had once shared with a human. When this human had died, much of her true self died with him.

It was other humans that had killed him, simply because he had chosen to befriend her, to serve her willingly, to love her in a way she had never before known. That kiss was all it took to make her realize that this man that was so adamantly and fiercely embracing her was the reincarnation of the human she had once loved.

Now imagine Wesley's surprise and shock when she used her super strength to shove him against the closest wall and actually made love to him...rather publicly but neither of them noticed. Once they were in a more private setting, Illyria revealed what she had discovered and the reason he had been drawn to Fred was because she was her mortal reincarnation.

A vast majority of her soul had gone with her former lover, leaving her ancient essence behind so that she could share the next life with him as a mortal, but when the Star Child saved them, their souls were on very different wavelengths which made it impossible to merge them back together.

When the former watcher started laughing, both the ancient one and her human counterpart were incredibly confused and were wondering what so funny about this situation. He simply kissed Illyria again and said 'I fell in love with the same woman twice.' This actually made the ancient one smile, a small one given that she was still adjusting to the situation, and for once in a very long time, she was genuinely happy.

Ironically, only Wesley seemed to be able to fully interpret Illyria's disjointed sentences and vague descriptions when she was actively using her power to see the entirety of the Present of everything a t once. This unusual ability of his was explained later by The Librarian, Flynn Carson. By embracing both Illyria and Fred, accepting them both, it solidified the ancient bond they once shared and all the powers and abilities that came along with it.

Wesley was the reason why Illyria could see the Present all at once and not be overwhelmed by the insurmountable information flowing into her mind. She saw it, Fred acted as a bridge and sent it to Wesley and he translated it. All this was done automatically, no conscious thought required which helped the Guard immensely and saved their asses so many times that they actually lost count.

Still...little is actually known about Illyria's past, not just in this story but in the TV series as well. I always wondered why Illyria was so against humanity and basically an emo Smurf. Losing someone she cared, a human that was so incredibly unique, it kind of broke her. Desperate to stay with him but could not because of what she was...her soul splitting apart is definitely within the realm possibilities.

It's only when she takes over Fred, her human incarnation, that she becomes overwhelmed by the surge of emotions. Her constant contact with Wesley helps her to stabilize but the two halves of her soul had become so different from one another that she loses the ability to contain and control her power, thus the reason why it had to be siphoned out of her to maintain her physical form.

Once that power was gone, she was left with the fragments of two incomplete souls which is why she was always so volatile. Losing Wesley...holding him in her arms as he was dying...both Illyria and Fred synchronized, their love of Wesley granted them the power necessary to open a rift to the Realm.

I will be adding more to these characters at a later date due to the fact that I have yet to fully flush out the sequence of events, so some of this might change and if so, I will publish an updated post.

Next up will be the profiles for the Magi of Light and the Magi of Flame. The Magi of the Air is still giving me a few hiccups which is why I'm posting the other two first.

Kazuma: It's only because she can't find a decent name for me.

Me: Dude! You're ruining the reveal!

Kazuma: *shrugs and gives her a bored look* It's not like anyone is actually gonna be able to recognize me anyways.

Me: *frowns* Fair point considering that it had only one season on TV, but there is a lot of written stuff for it.

Kazuma: How long are you planning to stare blankly at the screen of your phone?

Me: *gives him a tired glare* So sue me for spacing out, I'm exhausted.

Kazuma: So go to bed.

Me: Can't...work.

Kazuma: Sucks to be you then. *walks away while waving* Seeya!

Me: *deadpans* Why did I make him the Third Mage again?

Artz: *clears throat and points to a specific GIF*

Me: Oooooooh....still a jerk though. *wanders off, not noticing Artz and Kazuma doing a high five*

The Time Keepers - The Guardian, Tokemi

Apologies to those still waiting for the Magi, the new alteration still needs some ironing out. Also, I have decided to split the Time Keepers into individual posts, seeing as how I ended up with a deeper profile for the First Oracle, completely by accident. By the time I was done, I was like...oops. That being said, this post revolves around the Second Oracle, Tokemi.

Second Oracle of The Time Keepers, Fate of the Past, The Guardian of Time. Tokemi of the Prism Guard and she is her memory.

Now much of Tokemi's personal history is still a mystery, mainly due to the fact that she is the first of the Time Keepers to actually appear. The reason why she is referred to as the Second Oracle rather than the First Oracle...well it was actually Tokemi herself that requested that specific title. When asked why, she simply stated that she was not meant to be the leader of the Fates. Said leader is, in fact, Yuel aka Morgana Pendragon.

Tokemi governed the past. She could sense the very flow of time itself and because of this particular ability, she could sense, see, and feel the history of everything but on an almost instinctive level. She could navigate her way through forests and mazes and countless obstacles and even a crowded street with her eyes closed and without bumping into a single object or person.

This ability did have one flaw...more like a loophole that is difficult to exploit on the best of days. It is possible to disrupt the flow of time temporarily, nullifying Tokemi's power for a short time. How you may ask? A cataclysmic event or a sudden and quite powerful attack that obliterates everything within a specific area. Time is essentially scattered and it takes a short while for the flow of time to return to its natural rhythm. The recovery period is determined by the intensity of the attack/event.

As to how the Blood Guard learned of this unlikely vulnerability, oddly enough, coincides with the discovery of the Fox Sin of Greed, Ban. I will not be launching into his profile just yet because that would require me to actually fully flush out the exact circumstances of his first encounter with the Star Child...and I'm too lazy at the moment.

Now then, before this event and several hundreds of years ago, The Guardian of Time was traversing Telluria, more commonly referred to as Sol or Earth. She often wandered the many lands and seas, mainly to strengthen her connection to the flow of time all across the world. This connection was important and a necessity for Tokemi's second ability...which I will explain later.

It was during one of these journeys that she was drawn to a specific location, long forgotten by the world. It was the ruins of an ancient city once belonging to the fairies. By this time, about two thirds of the fairy species had long since migrated to the Realm of the Blood Guard with the exception of the inhabitants of the Fairy King's domain. They couldn't leave until the new king had been born because only he could transport his domain to another realm.

This particular city had belonged to the Dark fairies, more often referred to as Night fairies because of the misconception about their moral alignment. The dark is often associated with evil, corruption, and ironically sin. The majority of their kind had been destroyed by one of the many wars that raged across all of history. The survivors were given sanctuary within the Realm, but it was comprised mostly of the younger generation and they had little to no knowledge of their people's personal history.

This was yet another reason why the Second Oracle traveled so much on Sol side, so she could locate the lost histories of those forced to flee to the Realm and reconnect them to their ancestors. Her motivation stems from the Star Child. Artz believes that memories are precious and must be protected for without one's past, how would they know who they truly are? Pain and loss define us as much as happiness or love, but if they don't remember those defining moments, the past will undoubtedly repeat itself yet again.

The Night Fairies lost a great deal of their history and in doing so, they did not remember the task appointed to them by the previous king of the fairies. This task, as Tokemi would soon discover, was to protect the Elixir of Life, more commonly referred to as the Fountain of Youth which was highly inaccurate. The so called Fountain of Youth was, in fact, a mystical goblet known as the Cup of Life in the Old Religion.

Upon learning the history of the Night Fairies, The Guardian was able to locate and safely procur the mystical goblet, taking it back to the Realm. The fairies refused to reclaim the Cup of Life on the grounds that they were irresponsible and negligent in their duties. Uncertain of what to do with such a powerful object, the Second Oracle sought guidance from the Star Child.

Tokemi explained that the Cup of Life could grant immortality to a single individual. It would create a being that was immune to both death and time, but also grant them the ability to manipulate life energy. They could steal it and disperse it, absorbed it into themselves and revitalizing their body, take hold of it and command it in any way they chose whether it be to simply command the body's motor functions, cause accelerated aging, or even reverse the flow of time and forcing the object/being to grow younger and younger until their existence was completely undone.

The Second Oracle pleaded with Her Ladyship, desperately hoping that she would know how to contend with such a potentially devastating object. The Star Child simply smiled at her and told her to find someone she deemed worthy of the power that the elixir could give. Tokemi spent countless centuries trying to find that one special person, often lost in thought because she didn't know who to give it to. How could she deem anyone worthy of the Elixir's power and not create an immortal enemy in the process?

It had been a simple case of serendipity, a happy accident. The Guardian crossed paths with a rather vulgar, foul mouthed, and ill mannered young man named Ban. He was tactless, reckless, impulsive, and didn't give a shit about other people, considering humanity as a total write off of a species...yet he saved her life.

The Second Oracle was confounded by the contradiction between his words and actions. He somehow possessed a noble heart, a compassionate spirit, and a valiant soul. She asked him why and she learned of his encounter with a woman he called His Girl. Said girl having been the Star Child herself, meeting and traveling a short time with the man when he was a child.

It was his love for the Star Child that drove him to protect others, despite his personal feelings, because he wanted to make her proud, that she had made him a better person by simply accepting him and showing him kindness when no other living being had. She gave him a name, calling him Her Little Fox, and he spent his life trying to help as many as he could.

His life was coming to an end because he chose to protect Tokemi from a tyrannical wizard that had been seeking the Elixir of Life. He had used his ability called Snatch in an attempt to stop the spell the Wizard was about to cast but in doing so, he began to absorb its corrupted energy. It killed him, the wizard dying with him, but not before his crest as the Fox Sin of Greed emerged on his hand.

The Second Oracle knew the stories for each of the Sins from Her Ladyship's world. She knew the story of Ban, The Undying One. She had not intended to give him the Elixir of Life, but her heart told her that it was the right thing to do. She used her power to reverse time within his body long enough to make him drink from the goblet...though it did take her using her own mouth to shove it down the stubborn fool's throat, but he was saved from death.

As a result, the Fox Sin of Greed became immortal and unkillable, but his love and loyalty for the Star Child made him into one the strongest and most experienced members of the Guard. Tokemi often wondered if she had made the correct decision due to the obscene amount of damage caused by the Fox Sin and his partner, the Dragon Sin, but hearing the Star Child laugh hysterically at their antics...perhaps it was worth it after all.

The Guardian of Time, Tokemi has the ability to sense and view all history of the objects and beings around her, but her most powerful ability is the ability to transport others back and forth through time. However, she cannot surpass the present moment in which she resides nor can she transport herself through time.

This time travel capability is absolutely vital after the Seeress, Yuel, joins the Blood Guard. The First Oracle is perfectly intune with the timeline of the Star Child and when something threatens that timeline, causing any deviation or disruption, the Second Oracle uses her power to transport the person and/or people required to correct the distortion.

Both Yuel and Tokemi work diligently to maintain the continuity of Her Ladyship's time stream. For if the Star Child dies, the whole of history will change because her past is their future. She was saved by the Second, Third, and Fourth Captains during the Modern Age. If she does not live to meet the youngest Captain, Light, then everything that the Star Child had accomplished during her long trek through history would be completely unwritten.

The Second Oracle is also the one that suggested creating an archive to store the Star Child's memories and experiences. Tokemi shared in Artz's belief that memories were precious and that they needed to be protected. To that end, the Guardian, with the assistance of many others, successfully built the archive, but it could not withstand the sheer amount of information that was held within Artz's mind.

Tokemi sought help from the Boar Sin of Gluttony, Merlin aka Esmer. The First Sin of the Order was very powerful and she has combined magic and technology on multiple occasions. The Guardian explained the what and why of the archive, but it was the how that was causing so many problems.

At first, Esmer was initially confused, but later realized that the Second Oracle was attempting to create The Hall of Memories, a place all new members are to be taken to before being assigned an opposites mentor. The Sorceress of Creation told Tokemi about this future place and stated that only a special kind of crystal would be able to store, retain, and preserve the memories of the Star Child.

This special crystal has gone by many names; ethernano, lacrima, magicite, and the list goes on. Fortunately, Lady Esmer knew how to create the memory crystal, but it did take some time to acquire enough for the complete process. Also there was several problems with accessing the information after the download, forcing Tokemi to make a rather heart wrenching decision.

The crystals required a very specific kind of interface in order to find and view specific memories, but there was no way to adjust the intensity of the memory itself nor could one actually be an observer. It was all or nothing...essentially living the memory as if you were the Star Child. You would feel everything she felt at the intensity in which she had felt at the time.

Much of Her Ladyship's memories were filled with pain, sorrow, loss, grief, and rage. She who walks the slower path through history, making friends and watching them age before her eyes while she remained untouched by time. Were that not enough, there were the memories that contained emotions so deep and so intense that anyone that lived them would be broken, their hearts shattering into dust as they fully comprehend what Artz had gone through.

Tokemi had been the first to use the interface and she spent the next three thousand years traveling Sol in a vain attempt to come to terms with what she had experienced. She realized that this was not a decision she could make by herself, but she did not know who to go to. Who could possibly offer her guidance in regards to such an extreme matter? The answer came from a rather unexpected source...a talking rat named Rokushun.

Within one of the realms that existed on Sol side was a place referred to as The Twelve Kingdoms. Rokushun was born in the kingdom of Ko, educated in the kingdom of En, and is both friend and advisor to the Queen of the Kei kingdom. Tokemi was uncertain of the unexpected visitor so she asked why he was quite literally in the middle of nowhere.

His reply was only two words...to listen. The Second Oracle could only stare at him as he took a seat on a nearby rock. He eventually coaxed her into sitting next to him and for almost an hour, there was nothing but silence...a silence broken by the soft spoken rodent. He told her about his travels with Queen Kei and Tokemi watched his history unfold within her mind.

Rokushun was unlike anyone she had met before. The only person that was even remotely similar to him was the Star Child, but the difference between them was in how they viewed themselves. Artz always believed herself to be unworthy of love and happiness, but Rokushun believed that if he worked hard enough that he would be able to build a life he could be proud of and gladly embrace all the joys and sorrows that came with it.

He was impossibly kind and compassionate just like the Star Child. He understood the world on a much deeper level than Artz ever could because she simply kept on giving and in return, she carried all the pain and heartbreak of the ones she loved. If she could only save those in front of her then that was enough and Tokemi realized that Her Ladyship was a kindred spirit to the Queen of Kei.

Once Rokushun had finished, the Second Oracle told him about the Hall of Memories and the price of viewing those memories. He listened intently, not interrupting her, and only spoke after she was finished. He looked up at the sky, watching the clouds float by. When he finally spoke, Tokemi was completely stunned.

'You're right. This isn't a decision you can make because the choice is not yours at all...it's theirs. Take them to the Hall of Memories, inform them of the viewing process, and allow them to choose for themselves...to accept the responsibility and consequences of that decision. Let them decide if she is worth putting their hearts, their very souls at stake for the woman that chose to love them even though they were strangers.'

He apologized if he had caused any offense, but to him, he would want to be given the choice rather than to have it forced upon him because instead of understanding the Star Child, it could cause them to hate her instead, believing that she wanted them to suffer the same way she did. Rokushun didn't believe that Artz was capable of that, that she would rather spare them the pain of her past because she wouldn't want anyone to suffer the way she did.

The Guardian of Time actually cried because he was right. Her Ladyship would never allow anyone to relive her memories, to be so utterly destroyed by the intensity and depth of her emotions...especially during the final days of her reality. She informed Rokushun of this and he surprised her by saying that it wasn't Artz's decision to make either because she had agreed to not only store her memories but to allow others access to said memories.

No matter how much she loves them or how much she wants to protect them, there are some things that cannot be avoided. He then spoke very familiar words to her and she smiled softly, her eyes sad but understanding what he was trying to convey to her.

'Pain and loss define us as much as happiness or love. If our hearts didn't break then how would we know what joy feels like? If nothing ends then nothing can begin. If we never know loneliness then how can we be kind? If we are not afraid then we would never know what it means to be brave.

She lost everything. It was ripped away from her, destroying her so completely that it's a miracle that she even exists, but if that never happened then she would not be who she is now. She was lost within the ruin of herself and she fought back, she didn't give up. Darkness fell and all was silent. Then came a light, a glimmer that became a star, and a song, a melody of hope within despair, and there she is...a miracle.

I believe that in order to truly love someone, you have to let them into your heart. The deeper you go, the greater that love will be, but it also means that you'll get hurt and experience terrible pain. Love is both strength and weakness, a double edged sword, and the more pain you feel, the more you realize that you truly love that person.'

The Second Oracle finally understood why the Star Child cried so much because she loved them beyond all imaginings. Her eyes became determined and Rokushun smiled at her, seeing that she had found the answer she had been searching for. Tokemi knew what needed to be done and she would see it through, tears and all, because she loved the Star Child and the others needed to understand the kind of person that Artz truly was but only if they chose to do so.

Tokemi parted ways with the incredibly wise Rokushun and returned to the Realm. The Second Oracle, with the assistance of the Deathly Hollows, informed the current mentors and all the ones thereafter, about the Hall of Memories and in doing so, the Blood Guard truly ceased as a militant group and became a rather chaotic bunch of idiots, geniuses, goofballs, weirdos, and crazy people.

An extremely volatile and highly dysfunctional family brought together by the love of their star...and a stubborn oracle taking the advice of a talking rat. Just another day in The Realm.

The Time Keepers - The Seeress, Yuel

I apologize to those waiting for the basic profiles of The Magi. There was a last minute alteration and I need to iron out some details before posting them. So I am instead moving on to probably the most pivotal and most important group within The Prism, the Time Keepers. They are often referred to as The Oracles or as The Fates. The latter is a reference to the three women; the child, the adult, and the crone, in both Greek and Roman mythology.

The Time Keepers in The Star Chronicles actually inspire the birth of this myth. It also sparks the idea of the three women that are the mouth piece of the Triple Goddess in the TV series, Merlin. I liked the ideas behind both of them and decided to put my own spin on it since the Blood Guard's existence spans the majority of known history, both written and oral.

The Time Keepers do not appear all at once. In fact, there is a great deal of time in between the emergence of each one. Much of the history and back story for the Second and Third Oracle is still undetermined at this time, but the First Oracle has an origin story...its simply a modified version of the TV series known as Merlin, a heavily revised version at that.

Now onto the actual introductions. Please keep in mind that I'm a woman and will likely make alterations to the initial introductions, commonly finding something that is more suited to that particular person than what I could think of at the time. Seeing as how this post has become rather long, I've decided to simply dedicate it to the First Oracle given that a good chunk of her origin story is a heavily revamped version of the TV series, Merlin.

First Oracle of The Time Keepers, the Fate of the Future, The Seeress. She is Yuel of the Prism Guard and she is her guidance.

The First Oracle known as Yuel is, in fact, Morgana Pendragon, daughter of Uther Pendragon and elder sister of Arthur Pendragon. Her life before joining the Blood Guard was incredibly turbulent. During her early childhood, the Great Purge was taking place.

The Purge was caused by the death of Uther's wife, Ygraine, mother of Arthur. Unlike the TV series, the Queen of Camelot was not barren. She was capable of conceiving and carrying a child to term. There were no complications during her pregnancy, but after she gave birth to her son, she bled out, dying from blood loss. The Queen had unknowingly injested several herbs that both stimulated the production of blood and thinned the blood out. The combination of the two effects resulted in her death.

Uther went mad from grief and claimed that his wife had been murdered by a Priestess of the Old Religion, Nimueh. The witch had been present throughout Ygraine's pregnancy and birthing, but was also the Queen's childhood friend. She was actually conducting a healing ritual that would have saved her friend's life had the King not interrupted her by pushing her aside to reach his wife. In doing so, Nimueh could not finish the ritual in time and the Queen died.

The priestess fled the city whilst simultaneously casting a spell into the sky, essentially ordering the evacuation of all gifted individuals within the city and the surrounding areas. She almost died while saving a group of druids and would have if the Blood Guard had not intervened.

Thus the war against magic began and it was during this time of upheaval that Morgana became of her power as a seeress. The gift of prophecy was too closely related to sorcery, so she spent several years fearing for her life. Only the court physician and her godfather, Gaius was aware of her gift, giving her a sleeping draught on a daily basis as a means to hide the truth.

A short while after the Purge had seemingly come to an end, a young girl with long flowing blonde hair and eyes of a vibrant forest green was found wandering through the woods near the city. The exhausted and half starved child bore the seal of the royal family of the Northernmost kingdom of Rozarria. After her health was attended to, it was revealed that she was Lady Emma Swan Lanaria, the crown princess of Rozarria.

She didn't remember much, only that her protectors had spirited her away during some kind of battle, the smell of ash and blood in the air. Riders were sent to investigate only to return with dire news, the kingdom of Rozarria was in ruin. What few survivors they found had fled as they approached, but they finally ascertained the truth. The kingdom had been ravaged by sorcerers in retaliation for the Great Purge...Princess Emma appeared to be the only living member of House Lanaria, but without a home to return to, she became the King's ward.

Morgana had been hesitant to approach the blonde, but the Rozarrian princess was having none of that and practically pounced on the young seeress, claiming her as her new best friend. As the duo became more comfortable with each other, secrets were revealed. Morgana told her friend about her visions and in turn, Emma revealed that she had powers. Together, the two of them learned how to help the other and when the Great Dragon, Kilgharrah, was captured and imprisoned beneath the castle, they immediately attempted to befriend him but he was rather disagreeable until a very young Arthur found his way into the cavern and latched onto the dragon's leg and refused to let go.

The Great Dragon relented after sensing the boy's latent potential. By coming into contact with him, the prince began exhibiting powers of his own and both the seeress and the princess had quite the time covering for the little mischief maker.

Years passed and under the tutelage of Kilgharrah, both the seeress and the prince learned how to harness and control their unique gifts, including Morgana's natural affinity for healing magic and the ability to manipulate all forms of vegetation. Arthur discovered his love of combat and became the most skilled swordsman in Camelot by the time he was fourteen years of age.

Fortunately, the friendship formed between the Great Dragon and the Once and Future King, resulted in the crown prince becoming a dragon paladin, the first one to arise since the Great Purge. Knowing that his father had committed terrible crimes against innocent people, Arthur asked Kilgharrah to teach him about the Old Religion and the ancient ways of magic. He wanted a full understanding of magic in all its forms so he could restore magic to the land, making Camelot into a truly balanced and prosperous kingdom that respected the Old Ways, embraced the new, and ensured that the balance between the life of nature and the destruction of man remained undisturbed.

It was not until the arrival of a certain young man from Ealdor that things began to get more complicated, especially for Morgana. She was drawn to the one known as Merlin. He possessed a purity of essence and spirit unlike anything she had ever felt before. When she sought out Kilgharrah for advice, he full on laughed at her supposed predicament, revealing that the good natured and oftentimes silly young man was, in fact, the most powerful warlock in existence.

His birth had been foreseen countless centuries ago and his destiny as the Archmage was entwined with not just Arthur's destiny but her own as well. The dragon advised her to wait until a certain person arrived in the city, that this person would ensure that the destiny of the seeress remained pure and untainted by evil, allowing her to embrace her true destiny as the Fate of the Future.

A few months later, Arthur and Merlin were attacked by mercenaries and were saved by two warriors of unknown origin. It was not until said warriors were presented to the court that their identies were revealed. The first was a rather fiery Celtic woman with curly ginger hair that had Emma squealing in delight and embracing the new arrival in front of the entire court. The Rozarrian princess informed them that the woman was Remaria Beltone McCreedy, one of her childhood friends and had been training to be a Rozarrian ranger, a master of bladed and ranged combat. Though unknown to everyone else, Remaria was actually a fully trained combat mage and as such, she became rather fast friends with the crown prince of Camelot.

The second warrior was also a woman, but was also the last person anyone expected it to be...the Star Child. Fortunately, only a select few actually knew this fact. If the king of Camelot had known just who stood before him, she would have been burnt at the stake. Everyone believed that the Star Child was an immortal seductress that enchanted anyone she deemed valuable, essentially enslaving them to her will and becoming members of the Blood Guard.

Imagine the surprised looks on Morgana's, Arthur's, and Merlin's faces when they not only discover that Artz Gallifreya Lanaria, posing as Emma's younger sister, was in fact the Lady of the Blood Guard...and Emma's birth mother. Gaius had simply welcomed her like an old friend which was true. Artz and Gaius had crossed paths during his youth and it was she that taught him how to wield his natural talent for magic and ignited his passion for science.

The only other individual that was not at all surprised by these revelations was the Great Dragon himself, Kilgharrah...who just happened to be the first born of Artz's dragon, Aizuna. The dragon was thrilled when she came to visit him, surprising the seeress, the prince, and the warlock by his rather hyperactive and childish behavior.

After the arrival of Rem and Artz, things became a fair bit chaotic...mainly in regards to the budding romance between Merlin and Morgana...and two gingers playing matchmaker. The irony is that outside of Artz and Morgana, no one predicted that Arthur and Emma would get together. The Star Child had prior knowledge and the Seeress had foreseen it long before Emma had even been brought to the castle.

Then Merlin learns the identity of his father, the Dragonlord known as Balinor and that said father had been raising Merlin's twin sister, Emrys...the current leader of the druidic people. Events would continue to unfold until the true enemy of Camelot finally revealed themselves.

A powerful priestess named Morgause, claiming to be the High Priestess of the Old Religion...a title belonging to Morgana, attempted to sway the Lady Morgana by using the shared blood through their mother, the supposed bond of sisterhood, but when her attempt failed, she tricked her half sister into accepting a healing bracelet that had been enchanted to inverse Morgana's sense of good and evil.

She even placed an enchantment that compelled the princess of Camelot to wear said bracelet; however, the Star Child had already named the seeress as the First Oracle, Yuel, and given her the crest of the Yew tree within the prism, a crescent moon wrapping around one side of the tree, declaring fealty for both the Star Child and her truest believer, Lady Yuna.

The mark of the Seeress nullified any spells or enchantments that would negatively affect Lady Yuel. Only the original enchantment that gradually healed over time remained and the self-proclaimed high priestess declared war against not only Camelot but the other kingdoms as well. She built her own blood guard and they were exalted as the divine protectors of the High Priestess of the Old Religion.

For years, Morgause would send one creature after another, orchestrated countless skirmishes, attempted to create strife between all the kingdoms, and targeted specific individuals time and again. The blonde priestess even ensured the demise of Uther Pendragon, having temporarily captured the Star Child and prevented her from saving the tyrannical ruler.

The power of the Star Child was expansive and currently without equal, but even she was still bound by the laws set forth by God. It was a constant reminder that she was not an omnipotent being that could do as she pleased, but that despite her extraordinary talents and seemingly endless lifespan, she was still mortal. She could still die and she did so quite often, but the newly named First Oracle had already foreseen the true end of Her Ladyship's timeline, warning the Star Child in the vain hope that the crimson haired dimensional traveler could once again pull off a miracle.

The newly crowned king, Arthur Pendragon, was untested and unsure, seeking the aid of the Star Child, his elder sister and her betrothed, and from the woman that had completely stolen his heart, the Rozarrian princess and his future queen, Lady Emma.

Arthur's uncle, Agravaine, attempted to offer council in court affairs, determined to undermine the new King's rule, only to come face to face with the Druid King and Merlin's twin sister, Emrys...that promptly punted his ass back to his mistress, Morgause...who killed him for being discovered and ultimately rendered useless.

The self proclaimed High Priestess of the Old Religion put into action a rather complex yet patient plan that would lead to the fields of Camlan, the place where the Once and Future King was destined to fall, but was saved by the Star Child, taking the fatal blow meant to stop his heart.

The shock of watching Artz die to save him, it triggered a power that had laid dormant within him his entire life. The King of Camelot awakened his ability to wield the very life force of nature. Everything within nature answered his call and put an end to the final battle. Morgause attempted to escape, but Arthur, blinded by his grief, ripped the priestess's life force away, her body aging rapidly until she was nothing but dust, and used it to resurrect the Star Child.

This had been a mistake, for Morgause's life force had been corrupted and tainted. It poisoned the Star Child which caused her to descend into a feral state of madness. She lunged at the Once and Future King in an effort to rip him apart with her bare hands, only to be trapped with a powerful, reflective barrier amplified by the magic of the Archmage, the Druid King, and the Seeress. The source of the barrier was Yuna of the Prism, Artz's sister in all ways save blood, having been sent back through time by the Second Oracle and Fate of the Past, Tokemi.

Expelling the tainted life force was no easy feat and most certainly not painless. The Star Child spent the better part of a year in agony and once freed from that torment, she vanished without a trace, but a few days later, crests began to emerge on the hands of the elite knights and upon Arthur as well and thus The Knights of the Blood Guard were born...on the same day as Morgana giving birth to her son, Mordred.

The boy was the Star Child's godson and possessed both his mother's prophetic talent and his father's ability to wield magic and command dragons. Mordred would one day become vital in the recruitment of the Fourth Captain, Hook, and several other events that his mother could not see, but that is another story altogether.

I had not intended to delve so deeply into Yuel's origin story but once I got started, I became a runaway train with no brakes and...

Anna: Pssst...she means word vomit.

Me: *blinks* How long have you been here?

Anna: *giggles* Now that would be telling.

Yuel: Since before you had even begun the new post.

Anna: *whines* Aww...Yuel! You totally ruined my epicness! You don't undercut the Song, man!

Me: *raises an eyebrow* Okay...who gave you coffee? *sees a remarkably familiar cat hiding behind the Seeress* Should have known it was you, Noel. Bad kitty!

Yuel: He wasn't the only one involved, my lady. *glances to the side* Isn't that right, Second and Third Captains?

Light: Hey! Don't blame me! Everyone knows that you don't give a Zimmerman a high concentration of caffeine!

Poseidon: Says the man that tripled the amount of coffee grounds just to see what would happen to his great niece.

Light: Well at least I wasn't the one that substituted the water with rum.

Poseidon: I have no idea what you're talking about...though Noel did say something about a new enchantment he wanted to test out.

Anna: *squeals in delight, running around like a kid on the ultimate sugar high* I'm a guinea pig! Hurray!

Me: *drops head into hands* This...this is my life now. *rubs temples* How long before she comes down? *sliding to the left to avoid being run over by a speeding Anna*

Yuel: *smirks, her eyes darkening with mischief* Three...two...one...*a distinct thud of a body dropping to the floor was heard*

Me: *deadpans* Well someone has been practicing. Enough, alright! I gotta post this and I am in desperate need of...

2nd/3rd/4th Captains: ....getting laid.

Me: *slams head into desk repeatedly* Good night, everyone...*konks out*

The Captains - Basic Profiles

Hello everyone and welcome to the post dedicated to the group known as The Captains. Be advised that there will undoubtedly be some spoilers for both Stardust and their personal origin stories. Why because I'm like a runaway train with no brakes and I have a hard time shutting up about the things i am passionate about. The Captains are actually the core of the chronicles. Their influence is felt all along the Star Child's time line and they have the greatest impact on her life.

As stated in The Deathly Hollows post, The First Captain does not truly appear until Book 2, but his influence is still somewhat felt within Stardust. Due to his inability to exist in the same universe as her younger self, it does prevent him from interfering... mostly. The Hollows will make something of an impact but only at certain points. Now then, I'm going with Shadow's original intro for this one.

First Captain and Leader of the Blood Guard, The Hollow of Destruction, The Fallen One. He is Shadow of the Prism Guard and he is her Dark Champion.

Please Note: That this was the original and the Hollow version is the new one; however, given that I'm a woman and changing our minds is in the job description, it might bounce back and forth or simply be edited again.

Second Captain of the Blood Guard, Commander of the Assault Corps, The Lightning Fang. He is Light of the Prism Guard and he is her light in the darkness.

Please Note: The true meaning for the phrase 'her light in the darkness' is 'her hope in the midst of despair'. More on this at a later date.

Third Captain of the Blood Guard, Commander of the Shield Corps, The Terror of the Deep. He is Poseidon of the Prism Guard and he is her shield.

Please Note: Depending on which story you read because believe me, there are several being written between my sister and I, the phrase 'he is her shield' is often replaced with 'he is her God of the Sea'. These stories usually do not have their Hook counterpart unless otherwise stated.

Fourth Captain of the Blood Guard, Captain of the Jolly Roger, The Scourge of the Sea. He is Hook of the Prism Guard and he is her captain.

Note: His intro actually changed only once and that was to make him the fourth and not the third. The reason for the change was because I had finally sorted out his origin story and in doing so, he became the person she trusted completely.

The key distinction between the Third and Fourth Captains is the eye color. Apart from that, they are physically identical. Finding a decent eye changing app has proven... troublesome, so I apologize if their eyes don't appear to be real. This particular program has the simplest and easiest interface, but lacks some of the more advanced options. To confirm, Poseidon has vibrant ocean blue eyes and Hook has mirrored obsidian eyes aka Black Eyeshine Riddick.

Now onto some details. As stated, the First Captain does not make an 'actual' appearance in Stardust...for now, still in progress...but he can use his power without causing him and the Star Child to attract like magnets. This ability is mainly used on a certain military commander that works for the Cabal...more on that organization later.

Imagine for a moment that you are standing in front of this commander and you just happen to look down at his feet. His shadow has become pitch black and a pair of glowing red eyes is looking up at him from the darkness. He looks down and sees the eyes, but is unable to move because a pair of pale white hands grabs his ankles from within the darkness, freezing his feet on contact. Then black feathers and white snow flakes erupt from the darkness, swirling around him. Mere moments later, chains of black smoke ensnare him as a pair of white gloved hands emerges from the darkness. Then both pairs of hands drag him down bit by bit until he swallowed into the fading shadow, his screams being cut off as the darkness disappears along with the feathers and snow.

*giggles* I actually got this idea from watching the first episode of Black Butler and the bastard deserves what's coming to him. Why you may ask? We are now entering full on spoilers territory. He is the commander of an assault squad that attacks the Star Child and the three captains; Second, Third, and Fourth. Due to his attack, Poseidon had to relinquish his control over the Star Child's body which at the time required stabilization so her new physiology could fully synchronize with their world.

Poseidon used what power he had left to generate a shield of water to protect them while Light finished sealing the breach/bridge ...more on that later...but it was incomplete. He was getting skimmed by some of the bullets and a few almost hit Light. Once the breach was sealed, Light focused his power on helping the Star Child, but he didn't have enough strength left to finish the job...which ensues a rather emotional scene which ultimately results in the Second Captain doing a full elemental conversion so that he could have enough power to save her, destroying himself in the process, only to be saved like a file to the hard drive.

The Star Child is saved, but both Poseidon and Hook lose their shit because they basically just watched the man they viewed as a brother/best friend kill himself to the save the woman all three of them loved. The Third and Fourth Captains rarely work in concert but when they completely synchronize...there is no power in creation that can stop them. Poseidon's control and Hook's raw power combined...just think about the story of Noah's ark and the flood that covered the entirety of the planet...now forget it because i swear these two could flood the entire universe if they wanted to, but like i said, they rarely sync up so when they do....run.

The two remaining Captains transport the Star Child away...well as far away as they could given their exhaustion. Then she goes ballistic which leads to her trying to shut off her emotions to focus on survival which leads to...I am not spoiling that part just yet. Skipping ahead, after Poseidon promises to live for her...Hook having said his bit prior to this...they are attacked again. Her necklace, a Tardis pendant, is cut clean away from her, leaving a rather long cut from her left hip, across the stomach, through the valley of her breasts, and all the way up to her right shoulder.

Poseidon gets involved and forces the commander...yes, that same one...and his men back with his powers. He grabs her and tries to leave but she accidentally drops his fob watch, he had given it to her only a few minutes prior, and she goes back for it. She scoops it up and runs back towards him, only for him to notice what the commander is doing. He is pointing a mounted mini gun at the Star Child and Poseidon, being an idiot in that moment, grabs her and spins her around so that his back is to the gun....I think you can figure out what happens next.

Hook takes control and pushes her into the waterway...more on this later...and proceeds to literally wash away the military convey and sucks them into the water...essentially transporting them somewhere else. The commander, lucky bastard, just walks away, retreating for the moment. This is where Stardust truly begins, where Will and his sister, Anna, have their first encounter with the Fourth Captain. This gets the ball rolling and yeah, its a little sluggish but I swear all stories begin that way, but once its in gear, its going to be one hell of an emotional rollercoaster.

One Final Note: In previous posts, I have stated that ALL the Captains influence her time stream. The reason why I am pointing this out is that Light has only recently joined the Guard and is the youngest of the Captains...so how can he influence her time stream at all if he is dead/stuck in her head? Do you know the answer because I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this somewhere in the other posts.
