The Demon of the Blood Guard, The Hollow of Death, The Devil's Phantom. He is Crow of The Deathly Hollows and he is her servant.
I absolutely loved the movie called The Crow and yes, there is a division within the Blood Guard called The Crows, of which the Second Hollow is the leader of. This will be explained later...probably in a different article, but for now...it's time for the darkness to rise, the star to fall, and the destruction of the city of Atlantis, giving rise to a myth that would last throughout the ages.
The Star Child and the boy bearing her name continued to walk deeper into the complex. The young boy was becoming extremely worried about the woman he loved, her eyes kept flickering between two colors...blue and red. Her aura was screaming with fury and she was clearly struggling to remain in control. It was clear that she had no experience in dealing with the emotions of the darker end of the emotional spectrum which was why the Draconians had attempted to conceal what had been happening to them, a vain attempt to save her soul, but he wondered if that was truly the case.
With what little he and his parents had gleaned about the true history of Atlantis, the Draconians had no need for human companionship. They were perfectly content living their lives in the city that their beloved avatar had built for them. The introduction of humans into the equation was actually the worst possible decision they could have made, even the builder of the city had said so, but they had insisted. The young boy named Artz began to further analyze all the previously acquired information and cross referenced it with the details of their current surroundings. There was no way that the Draconians would not know that this place was being built, Artz would be oblivious whilst trying to deal with the ever increasing demands of a growing population.
They wanted this to happen, the Draconians allowed this to happen...Light must be tempered by darkness if it is to be unyielding and eternal. They were dying, their species was dying out, they wanted to leave behind a legacy but there wasn't enough time. There was something that he was missing, a third element in play...the future. His father had been from the future so its possible that a message was sent as well in order to force the Star Child down a certain path in order to achieve the desired outcome. Red...the greater the light, the deeper the darkness. That was it...she had to awaken her darkness, embrace it in order to move forward, to help so many she had to endure the most evil atrocities and the deepest of torments.
The balance must be broken, a new destiny must unfold, and the only person that could be with her through it all...was himself, her shadow.
They reached the innermost sanctum of the scientific compound, the core. A high pitched and wailing scream of anguish reverberated against the door, making them both freeze in shock and fear then she spoke...Solanna. Using the lingering vibrations by the Draconian's screaming, the redhead amplified it, folded it back upon itself, and then sent the combined blast against the heavy reinforced door, completely blowing it off its hinges and across the room to embed itself in the opposite wall.
There, contained within a massive tank, was the last Draconian. Her name was Solanna and she had been the avatar's closest and dearest friend. Looking upon her now, she couldn't even recognize her, but the moment the avatar spoke, Solanna wailed in despair as if begging the Star Child to flee. The avatar barely paid the head scientist any attention, focusing mainly on her tormented friend. This was the reason why the city guard had been sent to acquire her. Her bond with their race made her a compatible vessel to house the combined essence of the fallen species. She was being upgraded from the immortal whore of Atlantis to the immortal battery that maintained their youth and longevity.
When the son of her fallen friend was taken and held hostage, she barely blinked, knowing full well that the child bearing her name could easily free himself at any time he chose. They were attempting to use him as a bargaining chip...his life for her freedom. She just looked at the head scientist like he was stupid because she flat out told him that if she walked into that chamber, a force far more devastating would be unleashed...something they would have no control over whatsoever. Believing her to be bluffing and more threats issued until she just got fed up with it and pretty much said press the damn button, you imbecile, and spare me the torment of your monotonous dribble. Artz couldn't help it and he choked down a laugh, his namesake sending him a smirk though there was no light in her eyes anymore.
She entered the chamber, the outer door closing behind her and when the inner door opened, the room filled to the brim with an inky black fog. The last Draconian, Solanna, was slowly drained of the black taint, her refined brilliance shining once more. This caused a bit of a panic because without the dark energy containing her, she overloaded all the electrical consoles and in doing so, the outer door of the chamber opened. The fog slowly billowed out along with the faint clicking of heels on the tiled floor. Within the shroud of darkness came a rather high pitched giggle and that's when they caught a glimpse of what lurked within, a pair of glowing red eyes.
The Draconian spoke in human tongue, begging the creature within the fog to spare the lives of the innocent that were still within the city. The creature informed the still caged alien that the only being that possessed even a sliver of purity was the very boy being held hostage by the scientists, that all the other inhabitants had been corrupted beyond recognition and their evil was toxic to her kind, to life itself. Solanna pleaded that she spare the boy at the very least.
'Just because I am dark does not mean that I am evil.'
The fog began to clear and revealed a woman similar in appearance to the Star Child, but her eyes were the color of spilt blood and hair blacker than a raven's wing. Her attire had also changed to reflect the change that had taken place within the young avatar. Gone were the crimson locks that shined like liquid fire in the sun's light and in shadow, the color of spilt blood bathed in moonlight. The once brilliant sapphires that glowed with a light from within were now like diamonds drenched in blood. The balance has been broken and the darkness of the Star Child has been unleashed.
But this awakening was quite abrupt and any who shared a deep bond with the young avatar felt the transformation, none more so than the Empress of the Sea, Kali. The aquatic spider that governed the sea had journeyed closer to the city when the connection between them had been reestablished, but with the woman's sudden transformation, the hyper species abnormal reacted quite violently, simply unable to withstand the sudden flood of reversed emotions. She activated her power of magnetic resonance and unleashed a massive shockwave into the sea...the resulting tidal wave heading directly towards the city.
This information was passed along to the scientists who ordered the Star Child to destroy Kali or they would kill Artz. Their heads went flying off, their bodies falling to the floor. One simple sonic ripple, that's all it took for the dark avatar to rid herself of the irksome pests. The young boy ran up to her, completely unafraid of the woman, but his eyes filled with worry. The dark avatar's skin had begun to crack and was glowing as if she was breaking apart. The Draconian revealed that although light and dark were capable of existing within the same body, the combined evil of the city and the hatred of the Draconians were causing the woman's body to splinter apart.
The boy begged Solanna for help, but there was nothing she could do and without a compatible vessel to siphon the darkness into, the evil within the woman would destroy her. He asked what would happen if there was a compatible vessel. The Draconian answered that with a compatible vessel to house her darkness, the evil within would be forcibly purged, simply unable to remain within a being of pure light. He then asked if there was a way to create a vessel and the dark avatar stated that the only viable candidate for such a thing was the boy himself but to do so, all that he was now would be destroyed. He would fall, never to rise again, forever bound to the Star Child. None of his memories or core self would remain, everything about him would be completely rewritten...painfully.
The boy that bore the name of Artz demanded but one thing, that if any part of him could be transferred to her then do it; power, light, essence...anything that he could give in return to help her build a better future. The dark avatar smiled softly at the boy, commenting something along the lines of Typical Artz. The transfer began and the boy known as Artz was completely obliterated, his story unwritten and he was reformed into the the body of a man wearing simple dark clothing and was quite confused because he didn't know where he was or even what his own name was, but it did not stop him from saving a young woman with red hair and blue eyes from a nasty looking glob of black goo and a rather ominous fog.
Countless screams were heard throughout the city and then there was silence. A silence broken by the repulsive blob cackling away in glee. It had just murdered and absorbed every other living being within the city with the exception of the nameless man, the redhead, and the last Draconian. Why because it could and granted it the bonus of more power, enough to obliterate the origin of the evil that had been generating for such a long time...the Star Child. After a rather brief conversation which had enraged the evil being, it launched itself at the woman who smirked as she named him, gave him a purpose, and with them, a fragment of her soul to create his own. The goo and fog vanished as a naked man fell foward and into the woman's waiting arms.
The nameless one asked what they were going to do, having checked the remaining equipment and confirmed that a massive tidal wave was heading straight for the now empty city. Solanna told them to go, to leave this wretched place, willing to be entombed with the city as it would sink to the bottom of the sea, but the red haired avatar refused to abandon her friend and decided that it was time...time for the planet of her lost family to rise again, Draconis. Held within her being was the combined knowledge of an entire species, she was their legacy, so she used that knowledge and her newfound power, shining with a brilliant, electric blue light which engulfed the city mere moments before the tidal wave hit.
The city of Atlantis disappeared, never to be seen again. Many variations of this mighty city were created throughout history, but all of them failed to capture its divine splendor and fell victim to the same corruption, causing each one to fall and further solidifying the ancient city's dark legend, but as for the true Atlantis, it now sat at the bottom of a deep lake beneath a fortress like city that would one day become known as Xatolie Forge, home of the Star Child and the Prism Guard that would one day protect her. Here the last Draconian known as Solanna had chosen to remain in, the city she called home within the sacred spring...despite the avatar willing to build her a new home.
The one currently known as Sebastian Michaelis interrupted them and told Solanna that there was no longer a need for her to remain silent, that it was time for the young avatar to know the truth. The last Draconian told her of a woman that she had met before in the future, about how the Draconians wished to leave behind a legacy but there wasn't time, about how the Realm would never have been born, why they all had to suffer so much for so long...she even spoke of the inevitable passing of her species, that within five thousand human years, she would have been the only Draconian remaining. They knew that if they allowed humans within the city that Atlantis would fall, but give rise to the Realm, a true sanctuary for all.
It really wasn't her fault, she did everything she was supposed to do in order to create the Realm, but it didn't make her feel any better. Nothing would erase or unwrite what had been done and so she left to wander Draconis, Shadow always be her side. What was she doing...landscaping. Much of the planet was not developed or simply impractical like the fact that the fortress city that was Xatolie Forge was floating in the air and needed to be reworked so that it did not disturb the spring below. Sebastian watched her from a distance, seeing just how subdued the Star Child was and he didn't know what to do, what could he do?
Sebastian Michaelis believed himself to be a monster, a demon, a blight upon the Realm. He was born from evil and hatred, bound by fury and despair. He could not bare to watch her any longer and took refuge in the cave where the sacred spring was. He didn't know where else to go...he felt so lost. He sat there for a long time before the Star Child suddenly was in front of him. She knelt down to look him in the eyes, her own warm and kind. He tried to look away, mumbling something about being a monster.
'Monsters do not shed tears...but you do.'
'One hell of a butler.'
She told him the story of the demonic butler that served the boy known as Ciel Phantomhive and then followed that story with the plotline for Van Helsing, starring Hugh Jackman, focusing on one quote in particular, one that applied very well to his origin and birth.
'This thing...man...whatever it is...evil may have created, left its mark on it, but evil does not rule it. Therefore I cannot kill it.'
Then she spoke about a creature called Mewtwo and a valuable lesson he learned from a human because he too questioned his being, his existence, all that he was...just like Sebastian was doing right now.
'The circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.'
Having said her piece, she left him to his thoughts, her constant Shadow following her yet again. Sebastian wondered if that woman related everything to a story, but it mattered not because her words had the desired effect. He wasn't a monster, but he could act the part...yes, by absorbing her stronger negative emotions into himself, he would be able to keep her stabilized and in control. Moreover, he would become an instrument of pain and death, inflicting upon others agony and torment on all those that would dare to harm her. In that moment, he chose to embrace the idea of being her butler and upon informing her of his decision, she granted him the name of Crow, the Hollow of Death, The Devil's Phantom, and her servant.
Shadow had already decided that he was hers so he became the first Hollow and Crow became the second. Artz didn't like the idea of them walking the darker path but she did understand why they would deem it necessary. Her actions in the past had shown her that she could be as dark as she liked, but she had to choose to be evil. She knew that her beloved Hollows would never allow it to get that far again and she could not persuade from their course, granting them her blessing but under the stipulation that they also looked out for each other, both had readily agreed.
Artz: This is where it ends for now because the next section will be the profile for the third Deathly Hollow, Deathdealer, and the clusterfuck that is her origin story.
Hook: Get off your lazy bum and finally write the profiles for the other three Captains.
Artz: You're just tired of being neglected...you do realize that your profile and Poseidon's happen all within the same book, Starsea, right? Not to mention that there is a lot going on before your actual origin stories, right?
Poseidon: Oh he knows, love. He's just curious as to how you'll pull it off.
Light: Does this mean that I get to go first for a change?
Poseidon/Hook: No.
Artz: Yes.
Them: What? *notices that she's gone* Hey! *then notices Light is gone* Bloody hell!
